Going/ Goin/ Goins Family Reunion
Cumberland Gap, TN
Invitation to all descendants of Thomas Going (ca. 1729-1797)
of Randolph County, North Carolina.
The reunion is being held at the Russell Berkau Memorial Park, in Cumberland Gap, TN on Saturday June 10th. The park is reserved for our reunion from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. There will be a pot luck picnic at 1:00 so please bring a covered dish, salad or dessert to share, along with your own soft drinks. It is a nice, clean park, near the Iron Furnace, with plenty of tables. You may wish to bring lawn chairs. You’re encouraged to stay until 3:00 to meet and visit with your cousins.
Those who may be interested in genealogy are encouraged to meet Eddie Goins of Missouri, Pat Goin Jones of Kansas, Sherry Goin of Illinois, J. C. Goin of Wisconsin, Roger Edmondson of Tennessee, Bill Goin of Wisconsin and any others working on genealogy, to share family information.
The reunion is being held in conjunction with the Genealogy Jamboree – June 9th – 11th. This event draws several thousand visitors to Cumberland Gap each year. Besides the events and booths involving genealogy, there will be lots of events dealing with the history and heritage of our pioneer ancestors. A great time will be had by all who can attend. You can find more information, including lodging, on the Jamboree website - www.genealogyjamboree.us.
